As Area Sales Manager, your mission will be to: 

Within his/her area of responsibility:



►Develops and manages a network of dealerships/partners/OEM partners,

►Co-traveling with distributors’ sales staff and show best practices,

►Ensures evolution/development of sales of the medical product line,

►Visits current clients and prospects in order to sell and promote products,

►Trains clients’ sales force on EMS’ range of medical products,

►Provides regular sales forecasts within deadline, as input for global production plan,

►Participates in congresses and exhibitions.



►In collaboration with immediate superior, is actively involved in development of business strategies, defines a proper segmentation of the markets and integrates this with the company sales budget,

►Carries out market analyses (political, economic, healthcare aspects etc.) and scouting of relevant market development, including competitor monitoring, formulate strategy accordingly together with the superior,

►Planning and budgeting of exhibitions/congresses as well as of advertising activities, 

►Is in charge of new EMS product introduction and reinforcement of existing products to distributors /partners, for example through demonstration tours, workshops (e.g. SDCA) and congresses ,

►Prepares and develops product/pricing/sales strategies and marketing budget for distributors /partners,

►Sets up an adequate optimised operational scheme between distributors, sales representatives and Product Managers/Application Specialists,

►Establish specific and measurable objectives to be able to review performance, individual development and to provide a clear base for team member recognition,


Clinical contacts

►Follows up on clinical centres as well as activities with KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders),

►Creates new contacts in this field upon confirmation by the immediate superior,

►Develops, maintains and manages existing and potential KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders).



►Distributes/publishes high quality product support documents,

►Ensures that clients respect the EMS norms,

►Trains clients concerning quality processes of EMS.



►Takes responsibility for forcasting, budgeting all activities in the area, including sales turnover and costs,

►Is responsible for applying profitability ratios as per instructions from BU Director.


Accounts receivable

►Ensures correct and on-time payments from clients, in close cooperation with Accounting.



►Provides monthly reports about sales, marketing events, extraordinary orders/tenders, relevant information about clients, quality, competitors etc,

►Depending on company needs, other reasonable tasks could be assigned to the employee insofar as they are compatible with his/her qualifications and aptitudes.



► Strong ability to present complex solutions in clear, simple terms.



►Fluent in English, Arabic, French if possible (not a must), eventually any Arabic dialect,

►Oral and written communication skills in English,

►Degree in Biomedical Engineering or Sales Education,

►At least two years’ experience with surgical device sales, medical devices, clinical development and/or marketing in the Operating Room,

►Fluent or basic knowledge in medical terms,

Resident in the indicated sales region,

►Must have a multicultural understanding of the Middle East and international working environment,

►Must have a valid traveling passport and willingness to travel +50%,

►Driving licence (e.g. necessary to transport of demo equipment),

►Self-organized, partly home office,

►Skills in WORD, EXCEL, and common communication Tools,
